Municipal historical archive, priceless heritage of memory, it holds birth, death and marriage records from 1809 to 1915 (for a total of 343 registers) and all the minutes of the resolutions of the municipal council and the decurionate, municipal government body from the Napoleonic era until the unification of Italy (about eighty registers).
The result of a long cataloging work that began in the 1980s, the Archive was previously located in the spaces of the Civic Library; in 2023, it was assigned an exclusive location on the ground floor, with entrance from the internal courtyard manned by yellow wolves in recycled material by the Cracking Art collective, , well-known guardians of the history and memory of Acre.

A precious source of historical information, the Archive is available to anyone who needs to conduct registry research for private or scientific reasons; Furthermore, many come here from overseas to reconstruct their family tree and obtain citizenship by ius sanguinis.

Consultation of the documents is free and, to unravel the intricacies of Acre's long history, you can avail of the assistance of the staff of the municipal registry office and the civic library.
